A delegation of ASATTAHIR International Foundation, today, the 4th of November, 2021, was on hand, at the A. A. Raji Special School for the formal transition of Maryam Adarawa to Senior Secondary School level.

Maryam Shehu Adarawa, who is a visually impaired girl child has been under the support and care of the Foundation. She was enrolled in school by the Foundation with scholarship package from primary-five in order to realise her dream of being educated.

Since then, she has been making steady and appreciable progress. Her transition has been completed as Maryam has successfully obtained her Junior Leaving Certificate (JLC). Maryam’s performance has been extraordinarily excellent, as indicated by her results.

During the official presentation of the JLC, the Principal of A. A. Raji Special School commended the commitment, perseverance and doggedness of Maryam throughout her stay in the school.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Foundation, Prof. Yahaya T. Baba commended the efforts and sacrifice of the school management, teachers and students of the school for the support and encouragement extended to Maryam as a special student.

The Legal Adviser of the Foundation, Barrister Rashidat Mohammed also expressed the Foundation ‘s gratitude to the stakeholders for supporting Maryam in her determination to realise her dream of being educated in spite of her disability.

The delegation was led by the chairman of the Foundation, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru, who reiterated the continuous support of the Foundation to Maryam Adarawa and other kids under the scholarship of the Foundation. He commended the School Management for their quality assurance framework, which has been responsible for the improved learning abilities of Maryam and other children and students in the school.

The event was rounded off with group pictures, exchange of pleasantries and short interviews granted by some members of the delegation and the Principal of the school.
